Baptism

Baptism

Baptism is celebrated at Mass or afterward at 11:45am. Check with the Parish office for times. A required meeting is held for new parishioners and new parents to understand the sacrament and review the parental responsibilities to be undertaken.


First Penance

First Penance

First Penance is usually celebrated in the fall right before Thanksgiving. Children must be enrolled in Religious Education classes or attend Catholic School. Three preparation classes for parent and child are held on Thursday nights from 6:30 to 8:00 PM beginning about the second week in October. There is also a Saturday retreat that helps parents understanding of the sacrament for themselves.


First Communion

First Communion

First Communion is usually celebrated in early May. Children must be enrolled in Religious education classes or attend Catholic School. Three preparation classes for parent and child are held on Thursday nights from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. There is also a Saturday retreat to help parents and children prepare for this exciting day.


Confirmation

Confirmation

In keeping with the Diocese of Rochester, Confirmation is available to those who have been for two years enrolled in faith formation at the parish or Catholic school prior and up to the time of Confirmation. One must be in Grade 9 as a minimum, participate in a Catholic retreat, and provide a project of Christian service to one’s community The celebration of Confirmation is held in the spring at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Rochester.

Wedding Preparation

Marriage preparation is an important part of planning a wedding, and we’re here to help you do that. The first important step is contacting the church office at least six months prior to your planned wedding date before finalizing any other plans pertaining to that day.
