Moving on from the infancy and the hidden life in Nazareth to the public life of Jesus, our contemplation brings us to those mysteries which may be called in a special way \u201cmysteries of light”. Certainly the whole mystery of Christ is a mystery of light. He is the \u201clight of the world” (Jn 8:12<\/a>). Yet this truth emerges in a special way during the years of his public life, when he proclaims the Gospel of the Kingdom….  Each of these mysteries is a revelation of the Kingdom now present in the very person of Jesus.<\/em><\/p>Pope John Paul II<\/em><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The Wedding Feast at Cana<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

John 2: 1-11<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

1 On the third day there was a wedding in Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the wedding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3 When the wine ran short, the mother of Jesus said to him, \u201cThey have no wine.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4 [And] Jesus said to her, \u201cWoman, how does your concern affect me? My hour has not yet come.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5 His mother said to the servers, \u201cDo whatever he tells you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6 Now there were six stone water jars there for Jewish ceremonial washings, each holding twenty to thirty gallons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7 Jesus told them, \u201cFill the jars with water.\u201d So they filled them to the brim. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

8 Then he told them, \u201cDraw some out now and take it to the headwaiter.\u201d So they took it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

9 And when the headwaiter tasted the water that had become wine, without knowing where it came from (although the servers who had drawn the water knew), the headwaiter called the bridegroom <\/p>\n\n\n\n

10 and said to him, \u201cEveryone serves good wine first, and then when people have drunk freely, an inferior one; but you have kept the good wine until now.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

11 Jesus did this as the beginning of his signs in Cana in Galilee and so revealed his glory, and his disciples began to believe in him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

14 that what had been said through Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

31 who appeared in glory and spoke of his exodus that he was going to accomplish in Jerusalem. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

32 Peter and his companions had been overcome by sleep, but becoming fully awake, they saw his glory and the two men standing with him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

33 As they were about to part from him, Peter said to Jesus, \u201cMaster, it is good that we are here; let us make three tents, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.\u201d But he did not know what he was saying. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

34 While he was still speaking, a cloud came and cast a shadow over them, and they became frightened when they entered the cloud. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
