How about you?\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So what to say? It would be silly to think that any one attempt could explain what this moment presents to us. We\u2019re still a bit wobbly on our feet, trying to comprehend all that has happened (and what is yet to come). It\u2019s way too early to say \u201cWhat The Coronavirus Means To Me\u201d. I mean this thing is still just rolling out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That said, isn\u2019t there something we can hold onto that\ncan help us keep our feet? Something to steady the\nship? How about \u201cBest Practices During a Pandemic\u201d?!\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Try these:\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Keep the hygiene and social gathering rules. They\u2019re meant to protect everyone. My sisters are safer if you keep the rules. Thank you. <\/li><li>Make a little game out of being homebound. I don\u2019t know . . . pretend you\u2019re in a spaceship, or you\u2019re on a long flight to a country you\u2019ve never visited. What do we do? Sleep, think, wonder, smile. <\/li><li>Time management changes. Two weeks ago we didn\u2019t have enough time to tie our shoes. Now it feels like we\u2019re drowning in time. <\/li><li>Your daily schedule is necessarily changed. Embrace it. You have a new job now &#8211; &#8211; find a way to use your time well. Maybe make a list; what I want to do by noon. What needs to happen before dinner? Etc. <\/li><li>Avoid easy escape habits. You know, IPhone, TV, Netflix, internet, Snapchat. These are all legitimate uses of our time, but over the last few years they have come to rule much of our lives. <\/li><li>See in this crisis time an opportunity to create new habits. Do outrageous things like . . . read a book! Talk to your spouse (No, <strong>REALLY TALK <\/strong>to your spouse. And <strong>REALLY LISTEN <\/strong>to them. (Children too of course.) <\/li><li>Feed your soul. Let\u2019s face it we let a lot of junk into our brains. Instead of \u201cbinging\u201d on what? \u201cHousewives of New York\u201d? OR, \u201cGreatest Golf Rounds Ever Played\u201d? Why not LEARN something? <\/li><li>These days contain God\u2019s will. What is God inviting you to do? Is there something pulling at your heart? A relationship that needs mending? A promise you made that you haven\u2019t kept so well? Someone who\u2019s not doing so well in these days? . . So what are you waiting for? <\/li><li>Maybe with all this new time on your hands you can give some to the Lord. How about taking Jesus seriously when he says \u201cWhen you pray, go to your room and close the door. Your Father will see you in secret.\u201d <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Really. Go to your room and close the door! Tell God,\n\u201cI\u2019m here Lord\u201d. Give him a couple things you\u2019re feeling\nabout life. Something like: \u201cIt\u2019s been too long Lord. But,\nhere I am. I want to be what you want me to be.\u201d \u201cLord\nhelp me.\u201d The Holy Spirit will, over time, show you the\nconversation God invites you into.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Okay. So let\u2019s not get ahead of ourselves. There\u2019s a lot\nmore we\u2019ll be learning in the weeks ahead. Please know\nthat the Lord has promised to be with us through it all.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spring began last Thursday. Yay!! <br>Fr.
